Good morning and Happy Friday! As a quick reminder, the newsletter is on a working vacation while I finish up a new project, so this is a Lean Cuisine version. I hope you enjoy and weโll be be back to our regularly scheduled program soon!
๐๏ธ It was such a treat talking to the one and only Kristin Mockler Young about two of my favorite things - Jesus and Zac Efron over on the Naeem Fazal podcast. If youโre a fan of either of those things, give it a listen!
๐ต๏ธย Speaking of podcasts, I have become absolutely hooked on the Catlick podcast - which tells stories of history and true crime in Atlanta. Any of you true crime fanatics out there, do yourself a favor and listen to this one! B. T. Hartman is an amazing storyteller AND he just announced that he will be hosting walking tours of some of the podcastsโs most memorable sites in Atlanta this summer! SIGN ME UP. You can check out the list of sites and dates for the walking tours here.
๐ฐย Thereโs a whole lot of buzz going around this week about the SBC annual meeting in Nashville. Honestly, Iโve been grieved about whatโs going on there for a while, but when you hide things under the rug for so long it eventually seeps out the sides and has to be dealt with. The New York Times wrote a very informative article about some of the issues surrounding the denomination as a whole, and it is definitely a worthwhile read.
๐ค The beauty of the internet is that someone decides to mash up Garth Brooks and The Killers and somehow it works beautifully.
๐ Donโt forget about the Lil Swipes contact spreadsheet if youโre looking for a great hang with your best internet pals!
Come on now with those good tweets:
I feel this in my soul - I have this need for a wedding reception with early 2000โs line dances and towers of fruit:
aaaaandโฆโฆfinally:
Have a great weekend, pals. Iโm on the road this morning, but Iโm looking forward to reading your treasures! See you in the comments!
๐ฆ Take 2: Lil Treasures #81: Old Tables and Baby Birds
I feel very lost in these comments, like Iโm navigating a foreign country with a 100 year old map. I come from the time of AIM and chat rooms, this shouldnโt be so hard?!
Anyway - I survived a road trip from South Carolina to Nebraska with three kids and a husband last week and am pleased to report all who went made it back ๐ though it was definitely questionable there for a bit. Two days in a car is just not anything I recommend as โa good time.โ
I have typed and erased a million things because I am so rusty on interacting with humans that I donโt even know how to interject into an online community, so I will just wish everyone a successful Thursday tomorrow and see you Friday!
Is there a form to fill out for the contact sheet, or can I just add myself? I need friends, please. :)
