🪲Lil Treasures #135: Jenna Maroney and Beautiful Summer bugs
We're talking subway sandwiches and a chance to win some free stuff!
Hey friends,
I hope your Friday is going swimmingly so far! Since we are smack-dab in the middle of the summer, I thought I’d take this chance to get a gauge for how you’re feeling when it comes to this community. I created a Lil Survey for all subscribers of The Swipe Up (both free and paid subscribers) in hopes to gather some feedback from your brilliant minds and help serve this platter of tweets, treasures and thoughts in the best way possible. It’s pretty quick and easy, and if you do fill it out you can enter your email for a chance to win an Amazon gift card!
I know Prime Day is behind us, but hopefully you can still score some good deals. Thanks a million for your thoughts and opinions, pals!
PSA: The survey was experiencing some technical difficulties, but we will bring it back next week! Thanks for your patience.
Let’s do some treasures, shall we?
☀️ We’ve made it to the middle of July, and this pretty much sums up my current feelings about summer.
🩺 Please take a few minutes and read this article in Parents by the wise and wonderful Danté Stewart. Danté writes about the overturn of Roe V. Wade, and what that looks like for healthcare from the perspective of a black husband and father.
🦷We all love a good post-wisdom teeth removal video. This one made me cackle.
📼My new friend Zach Lambert is the pastor at Restore Austin in TX, and he graciously asked me to be a part of their Summer Mixtape series. You can listen to the conversation/sermon from July 3 here!
🌈This week, I finished up the fourth and final post in the affirming theology series over in the Swipe Up+. If you’d like to get a chance to read through it before it gets lost in the archives, you can do so by subscribing here! If you you’d like to come explore the world behind the paywall, it’s $6 a month to be a part and gives you access to bonus content and any studies I release, plus a few extra perks. If you don’t have the funds or just want to read this particular series, send Hannah and I an email at hello@erinhmoon.com and we’ll get you VIP access.
🥪This thread about a Subway sandwich enraptured me.
🎧I got to be a part of Alli Worthington’s podcast for the Smart Girl Summer series, where we talked about how to be kind and curious about life. You can listen to the episode on Apple podcasts at this link or wherever you access your pods!
Time for Tweets!

Okay that’s it for me this week. Can’t wait to read what you’re loving in the comments!
Hey everyone! Sorry for the unfortunate technical survey issues. We decided to take it down and re-send next week! Thanks for your patience ❤️
Hello!
🏡 One of the best things about having adult kids, is when their college friends come to stay. The house is full and fun and out of food frequently. The best. We are calling it ‘The Smith Home for Wayward Girls.’ And this wayward cancer patient couldn’t be happier. With five women in the house, brownies are essential: https://cookiesandcups.com/perfect-fudgy-brownies/
☢️ I’m in the radiation stage of treatment which means I drive every day 45 minutes to get zapped for five minutes and head back. This will go on for seven weeks. Twenty-five of my neighbors signed up to drive me to radiation as I’m a fatigued human who should not operate heavy machinery. I bought the cutest microphone and we are podcasting our conversation on the road every day! Y’all it is bringing me so much joy! We talk about radical kindness, the fun things we are into and also cancer. It’s raw and real and warm. I did it!

I’ve been quarantined for 84 years 😂 but finally this summer feels like cancer is not winning. 👏🏽
