🤴Lil Treasures #179: Prince Louis and Miracle Gravy
This week we're talking dogs, miracles and Hell Correspondents
Hello everyone!
We’ll be skipping right on to the treasures this week because ya gurl has been exposed to the crushing weight of May activities and this week’s treasures really speak for themselves anyway. Enjoy these treats and don’t forget to leave yours in the comments!
Here we go!
🧠 Can’t stop laughing at all these coronation memes and especially this live footage of my brain a la a young spirited prince. Anyone else feel like you are kindreds with Prince Louis?
🌴 My beloved Retha Nichole was featured on Laura Tremaine’s 10 Things to Tell You podcast this week and it is INCREDIBLE. If you’re a business lady or a business, lady — you will love it. Listen to it here!
🐶 I have shared some of Ann Helen Petersen’s writings before, but her most recent post broke me. She shared this beautiful essay dedicated to her sweet pup, who recently died. If you’re a dog person or have ever had a very important pet pass away, let those tears flow. Don’t hold back.
🌈 A few anti-LGBTQ+ bills are being discussed in Alabama this week. Contact your reps, Alabamians! Something I’m learning is that national issues get a lot of attention but man these state lawmakers will absolutely try to sneak insidious stuff by the people. Make sure they know they work for you!
💋 Loved this post about long-term love and the gifts of miracle gravy and miracle biscuits. Andy Sqyures always hits just right.
🪄 Speaking of miracle biscuits, this week on The Bible Binge we had a very special episode of “I Kid You Not” all about miracles! Listen if your kids need some guidance or even YOU need some at this link or wherever you get your pods.
🎼 This video of choir members who came back to sing together one more time in celebration of their beloved choir teacher’s retirement was pure delight. Each person was just so thrilled to be a part of something so special and I couldn’t stop watching! Did you have a teacher like Mr. Stanley? Mine were definitely Mr. Yirak, Coach Winfrey, and Mrs. Risley!
😬 Extra treasures in heaven for Ben Moon and this conversation we continue to have.
☀️ If you used a free Swipe Up+ subscription for Lent that expired or is about to expire, let me know if you want to keep it going for the summer! Email me at hello@erinhmoon.com and we’ll extend it for you, no questions asked.
🍨Last but not least I need to inform you that the highly esteemed Blue Bell Ice Cream is coming out with a Dr. Pepper float ice cream flavor! I can now live in contentment.
Let’s get to those tweets!
Cue the song “This is how I fight my battles”
That’ll do it for this week’s edition of the Swipe Up, pals! Cheers to the weekend, see you soon!
Happy Friday friends!
I am fresh from a trip down to Harrisonburg, VA, with my middle to see her godmother/my baby sister. College kids are so inspiring y'all. They're so fresh and full of hope and can eat massive plates of nachos without needing to lie down afterwards. It was a delightful trip (and I got a dozen egg everything bagels to bring home *chef's kiss*)
Treasures:
~ The perfect mix that has been Queen Charlotte and then The Great season 3. Both are fantastic in very different ways. Give me all the historical (fiction) shows all the time.
~ Y'all I think I'm going to reread Throne of Glass this summer, and this will be me https://www.instagram.com/p/CsHxE5pp9J9/
~ It is our 12th anniversary weekend this weekend. We have planned nothing. We might be getting new bed pillows as gifts to each other? It's fine lol https://www.instagram.com/p/CsFMOazru4h/
I hope everyone enjoys their weekends; my son just brought me a picture he drew of me with fangs, an arrow, and a bottle of poison, so. That's our vibe over here I guess?
Prince Louis is my favorite.
Rapid treasures this week; I was up before the sun seeing my oldest off to San Diego with his grandparents and Imma need at least another coffee before I am coherent:
🎧 The Holy Post podcast has a two part interview with Daniel Hummel about his book The Rise and Fall of Dispensationalism and it is FASCINATING.
📖 Started a new devotional called Seasons of Wonder by Bonnie Smith Whitehouse and it is wonderful. It’s weekly, which feels doable and makes me feel not tied down to one book in the mornings.
🎮 We are video games nerds in the Clark house, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is so fun and so beautiful to look at.
🌱 Trying my hand at herbs in pots this year. They are such happy little plants; I hope I don’t kill them!
🍽️ Spring and summer bring more opportunities to host people for dinner and it is just one of my favorite things. The key is: kids eat inside, adults eat outside and you get at least 30 minutes of uninterrupted adult conversation 😂
May your week be filled with miracles - biscuits and gravy or otherwise.
