šÆLil Treasures #186: Youth Camp and Hot Honey
We're discussing cults and being the oldest daughter
Good morning to you! āļø
Iām strutting into the weekend with the same flair as Bernadette Peters on Live with Mark and Kelly:
I had to check my phone to see what day it was every morning this week because having a holiday on a Tuesday is just real confusing. Anyone else feel the same?
For my fellow US friends, I hope your 1.5ish weeks of holiday celebrating have been lovely! (Is everyone still on vacation orā¦?)
Iām thrilled to bring you some goods from this week, so letās jump in!
Look at this trove, treasures untold:
š Earlier this week on The Swipe Up+, your lovely friend and fellow Lil Swipe
(queen of our Galentineās Gift Exchange) wrote this essay about how her father influenced her journey to becoming affirming. It is a beautiful story and Iād love if all of you got to read it! You can subscribe below to get access to Jillianās post, or email me at hello@erinhmoon.com and Iāll get you access foā free!šOldest daughters who need like to have/make a plan, let me know if you can relate to this video.
š„·If youāre looking for something light and sweet to start off your weekend, donāt miss this wholesome thread!
šI didnāt know, guys. I couldnāt have imagined the wild ride that Juvenile would take us on throughout his recent Tiny Desk concert that I posted a teaser about a few weeks ago. The clips were but a small taste. Buckle up and āget ready to get athleticā.
šÆItās peach season here in Bammy! Iāve also latched myself fully onto the hot honey trend, drizzle that s-word over a stalk of broccoli and I am sold. Thus, this recipe for peach prosciutto hot honey flatbread will be making an appearance in my life very soon! š¤¤
š¦Youth camp was a huge part of my life for a long time in a variety of ways, so this weekās new episode of the Bible Binge on The NOs of Youth Camp was a real good time. If camp played a part in your upbringing as a child or adult (or *cough cough* brought you camp love at any point) then make sure to listen to this episode wherever you yet your pods!
This weekās Twitter roundup:
(Also, weāll be throwing in some of the best Threads for next week too, so buckle up babes! Itās gonna be a wild smƶrgĆ„sbord!)
š¦In lieu of Prime Day deals waiting for us next week:
Thatāll do for this weekās round-up of some of the internetās precious gems! For my fellow Swifties, I hope the re-release of Speak Now today doesnāt disappoint. Canāt wait to read your jokes, vids, recipes, poems, hopes and dreams in the comments below š
Juvenileās concert!! š«¶š½ And hot honey šÆš
Also, Iām here to say a few things on nos episode (mostly one thing hahah!!)
1. I didnāt realize how many texts I would receive saying, āWHY DID JAMIE BUTCHER YOUR NAME SO BADLY?ā I laughed. It was great. But Iām also glad to say a have a number of friends who listen to the Bible Binge which is legit āØ
2. I was 13 when I wrote my letter to my future husband but 10 didnāt seem out of the ordinary. So, I relate Erin.
3. Why the memories are connected: all those experiences are at the SAME CAMP. I still stick by thousands of babies coming it because you canāt count spiders while youāre screaming and 13.
4. I should have just answered these when I go to Austin! š¤£
The video about oldest daughters was dead on. I need a plan and an exact time people!
