๐ Sewer rats, a revolutionary wedding + unhinged takes on classic literature: Lil Treasures #306
We're talking Peach and Bowser + the emotional labor of Christmas
Well, well, well, we meet again for another Friday full of internet goodies! ๐บ
๐ฌ A teacher shared the unhinged takes from her students on characters in classic literature and I seriously belly-laughed at some of the quotes.
๐ Need a little treat? Check out this interview in Variety with two top-tier dream boats Jonathan Bailey (from Wicked, among other things) and David Corenswet (from Superman) comparing their experiences of kissing while levitating.
๐ฅ Absolutely obsessed with the dancing and choreography shown here.
๐Itโs December 11th, and I confess that I am feeling a little stuck and already weary by this Advent/Christmas season. You can read some of my thoughts (and suggestions if you find yourselves in a similar place) in the newest Swipe Up+ essay An Exhausted Motherโs Unhelpful Guide to the Emotional Labor of Christmas. Read it for free by sending me a lil email at hello@erinhmoon.com, or treat yourself to a monthly subscription at this link!
๐ Sam Purcell, the head coach of the Mississippi State womenโs basketball team, has a daughter named Rylee who is an absolute icon. See her in action at a recent game here.
๐ Each year, I find myself feeling frustrated about how difficult it can be to hope, so I especially loved this poem from Caitlin Seida about how hope is not a bird, itโs a sewer rat.
๐ถ๏ธ I adored watching this king throw every part of himself into dance.
๐ป As a devoted fan of the Muppet Christmas Carol, these behind the scenes clips and this meme roundup brought me a lot of joy this week.
๐ฐ๐ฝโโ๏ธ A couple got married in Boston recently, and were surprised by these fun guests who helped them create the perfect wedding photo.
โจ๏ธ Tressie McMillan Cotton, who is a writer and columnist for the New York Times, got this impressive feedback from a student on her article The Tech Fantasy that Powers AI is Running on Fumes. The kids are gonna be alright!
๐ The year is drawing to a close and itโs a great time to ask ourselves, is 2025 Favored or Forsaken? Thatโs what weโre talking about on this weekโs episode of Faith Adjacent, so if you want to hear our annual recap + revisit some of the high/low lights, cue up the episode here!
Okay internet besties, thatโs all for this week! Having you here is always a treat, so thanks for taking the time to engage each week. Canโt wait to read your treasures in the comments! See you there!

The golden retriever energy the reenactors are bringing to that interaction with the wedding couple is making me feel very tender right now. The excitement they have for strangers that appears to be genuine is healing.
I gasped and then giggle-shrieked at the Muppet meme about having an open casket funeral, but instead it's a Muppet version of the person. That might be the greatest send-off from this earthly life that I can imagine.
