🍕Papa Johns, boy aquariums + whimsybait: Lil Treasures #308
Plus the power of collectibles, Reddit advice + 2026 mantras and predictions
I’ve missed you, Lil Swipes! It’s great to be back with you after a lil holiday hiatus.
🏆 2025 is behind us, and thank goodness for that in a lot of ways! But uhhhh…2026. What the hell, baby?
🥊 I hope each of you had such a delightful holiday break! Mine had some really great moments, but was also marked by getting into a huge fight with one of my kids. I wrote about it and something I want to put into practice for 2026 on the newest essay in the Swipe Up+ called Choices and intentions in a time of lawlessness. You can read it behind the paywall, or send me an email at hello@erinhmoon.com to read it to free!
🍦 There’s just something about collecting little trinkets that really scratches that millennial itch, and I found so much joy watching this man open up the mystery Aldi mini collectibles.
🌭 I will never get over the fact that poet and internet friend Jillian Stacia wrote a poem based on the phrase “don’t romp on my ding dong”, which I still use often. It might be one of the highest honors of my life! This week she is hosting a giveaway on Instagram to win a print of that very poem. The giveaway ends today so be sure to hustle and enter it ASAP, and also don’t forget to pre-order her new book of beautiful poems called Set the Bone, coming this May!
🧠 For all my haters who’ve given me crap about spending my time reading smut and fan-fiction, let me assure you that it is genius women who read smut. If you’re reading about fantasy and dragons, you’re brilliant, okay?
⬛ Remember that time the Epstein files got “released”? Here’s a little tease below of what was included if you missed it, or you can go here to see what else the internet had to say about it.
🍕 My goal for this year might be lofty, but I have a lot of hope.
🔮 Beloveds, it is time for the 2026 Prophecies episode on Faith Adjacent! Hear what we think will be trending in Christian circles this year by listening at this link or wherever you get your pods.
That’s all for this week’s treasures! If you follow the news, I want to acknowledge what a difficult few days it has been. Please know if are experiencing grief and exhaustion and collective rage, I am right there with you. I hope these internet treats brought a bit of brevity to the dumpster fire in our midst! See you next time.

Hello from ICE-occupied Minnesota -- we are shaken, angry, scared, and who knows what else. ICE arrested someone a block from my 20-something daughter's workplace, and they have daily protocol reviews on how to respond if they show up there. She already lives with anxiety that makes daily life a challenge, so this week was ROUGH. My older daughter was weighing whether or not to attend a protest last night, but decided that she didn't want to risk being killed. Praying that ICE Barbie and her goons leave town soon.
Dear Erin -- thank you so much for this collection of delights! And now if you'll excuse me, I'll be watching the ALDI miniatures video on a loop. Stay safe and rest this weekend, friends!
Kinda sad American Aldi doesn't have minis 😒
🌞On a positive note, a friends husband had a pretty intense surgery yesterday and it went super well!
🌞I offered to buy my bosses home snow plow and she ended up just giving it to me. I got to really use it for the first time over new years and it was fabulous! I live on the corner so shoveling took ages and this was so so easy.
