This week my treasure is that I have secured employment which will begin on May 10, and I am so excited to have something to do outside the house! My kids have been back to full time in person school for two full weeks, and I have gotten this place in near pristine condition. Since we moved here in the midst of the pandemic, I don’t have any friends yet so my only other entertainment option is spending money I don’t have. 😉 I am looking forward to one more week at home alone during the day, but I don’t know how long I could actually keep going that way. Hope you ladies have something wonderful planned for your weekend.

We are all out of quarantine!!! And the good news is that I didn’t have to murder my beloved husband!! Oh and no one else got it so that’s good too. I really like Eric but he’s was all up in my space and office.

I had Hanks follow IEP meeting. I only cried a little. It’s hard to emotionally bounce back from those meetings. He has made loads of progress and still has some areas to catch up on. It’s just so hard to sit in a meeting and hear all the things your child cannot do and not being given credit for the things he can do. Can he button his own shirt? No, but can he use the worlds smallest legos to build houses, castles and cars? Yes! It’s also very humbling to realize that the school district is saying he’s a year behind but they are only offering him 30 minutes of speech therapy and 30 minutes of occupational therapy during the school year. Knowing that I am able to give my son an hour of each through private therapists. It’s a privilege that’s not lost on me.

My friend Meghan has asked me and my two IRL BFFs to do a Mother’s Day photo shoot with her. I love doing them with her but it always makes a wee bit self conscious and I’m doing my best not to over think it.

I ordered the little guys their euro trunk swim suits and they came yesterday!! Until they are older I put the little guys in euro trunks to keep the sand from chafing their man business. The ones I ordered this year came with matching swim caps and it’s genuinely the funniest thing I’ve seen in weeks! Hank and Waylon ran through the sprinkle wearing those caps and it was magical!!

My cousin mailed me a treasured olive bowl and spoon that once belonged to my Wassie aka Aunt Kathy. I opened the box and began to cry. How does a ceramic bowl smell like her?! I just want to walk around carrying it like a lovey. I don’t understand why she’s gone. I understand the how but never the why.

There will likely be a puppy update on my Instagram today so stay tuned!!

Much love to my internet gang!
