Happy Friday! Somehow I blinked and it’s basically August, and I’m not really sure how we got here. I’m in denial about the end of summer, but also welcoming it with open arms because it’s that time of year when my children revolt and lose their minds. Thankfully I can throw myself into stories of Olympic dreams to help me cope with this while I attempt to begin the packing process. It’s been quite a summer, folks! Tell me the best part of yours in the comments!
Here are this week’s treasures:💰
💙 I thoroughly enjoyed this post from Sarah Bessey, but it also made me regret my current surroundings which are not in fact next to a mountain stream.
🏅 We are deep in the throes of the Olympics, and I have many feelings about it. My world has pretty much revolved around synchronized diving and any and all sporting events happening in Tokyo and I have 0 regrets. If you are in the same boat, you might enjoy a good, faith-based Olympics deep dive on this past week’s episode of Faith Adjacent! I got to talk to two real live gold medalists and it took all I had to try and remain cool.
🌸 We are currently in the process of moving homes, and I’m trying very hard not to cover the entire house in this Bloom wallpaper. 😍
✉️ This video made my early 2000’s indie heart so very happy.
💔 For a great read on Olivia Rodrigo (xoxo) and why we love to indulge in teenage angst so much, check out this article!
🥗 Definitely adding this sour cream salad to the menu this weekend.
Let’s get to those good tweets!

this feels like a personal attack:
Have a great weekend, pals! Can’t wait to see you in the comments. If you have a favorite Olympic moment so far, please share!
I'm late to the party because of vacation. Do you have a HEB candle yet??? I can put one in the mail to you- same day service. Just say the word.
How I'd love to be next to the stream in Sarah's IG post, reading a book and reflecting on life the last few years. It's been hard sometimes, and at other times I've been completely at peace. I strive for more of completely at peace, and sometimes I'm successful, but most times I'm not.
