🩹🗳⛑ A Very Crowdsourced Election First Aid Kit
Because we all love a spreadsheet full of good things.
Hello, pals.
We have a big day ahead of us! A few of you loved the “Election Day First Aid Kit” in the newsletter this past Friday, so I wanted to give you easy access to a few more self-care tools. You were all so wonderful to post some of your excellent suggestions in the comments, so I compiled them all here so you can access them when you feel sad and need a warm hug or some braised short ribs.
Feel free to add your own suggestions and share with your people.
I had something really thought-provoking shared with me yesterday for all the believer’s here (but I think it applies to all of us who desire to love our neighbors well after the election is over). Big thanks to Will Freyschlag (@freshsnacks) for allowing me to share his words.
Also: a reminder that you can be disappointed or elated, but no matter who wins the election tomorrow, there’s ultimately still work to do.
Okay hitting this charcuterie board for the rest of the day. Honored to go through this day with you all, no matter who you bubble in.

Erin, just seeing your name associated with this community in my inbox today made me a little happy teary. You all are such a source of comfort and light.
Take heart, dear ones. May we love one another, ourselves, our people and our neighbors well today. And may God bless the take out sushi that will fill my belly tonight as I ask him to fill my soul with peace that passes understanding.
Here is my plan: No news, no Facebook and loads of baking and apple pie moonshine making. I’ll continue this plan for as long as needed!
