Hi friends! Welcome to the last day of the year! 🥂 In lieu of rejoicing in the fact that we are moving out of 2021 (thank you sweet Jesus), I wanted to celebrate via a few GIVEAWAYS!
👩🍳 Oprah’s pockets are a bit deeper than mine so there won’t be any free cars this time around, but these items are almost just as valuable! FIRST, I am giving away one free entry into Bri McKoy’s Everyday Kitchen Masterclass! Currently, she is no longer accepting new members so if you feel like you missed out (or if you didn’t get what you wanted for Christmas) I am here for you! Bri has created some of my favorite recipes (hello, pumpkin chili!) and I trust her when it comes to getting everyday meals to the table to feed my people!

The Everyday Kitchen Masterclass is an online five-week course where you will learn how to master your kitchen and become a more confident home cook. This Masterclass begins on January 10, 2022.
There are over 20 cooking essential lessons, some of which include:
Comprehensive knife course
How to cook meat in any pan without it sticking
Kitchen essentials (tools I can't live without and how to use them)
How to add flavor to any dish with one simple trick
How to elevate weeknight staples so you can serve them again and again
The magic of using all your senses to bring a meal together
How to integrate citrus, salt, and spice to dishes without a recipe
Every week you will have access to video lessons, downloads, and transcripts to guide you. The best part is after you learn a lesson, you will cook meals that reinforce what you just learned! This is as hands-on as it gets. Bonus: you will have access to all the content forever so you can revisit it at any time (including the videos) and you can also go at your own pace.
This Masterclass also comes with the Crafted Cocktail Mini-Course which you get instant access to when you sign up - perfect to ring in The New Year! To enter the giveaway:

I will pick the winner on Saturday, January 1!
❤️ A few months ago during the disentangle study, we created and sold some of these pennant banners that our lovely friends at Oxford Pennant made for us. If you missed out on the chance to get one of these bad boys, not to fear - because today we are giving one away! If you share the newsletter this week on the socials, you’ll be entered into a drawing to receive one FO FREE! Just make sure to tag me when you share it, and I’ll DM you if you are the lucky winner to get your info.
💅 Y’all know I can’t let a year go by without one last chance to give away some free goods from my favorites, Olive and June! For this one, I’d love to gift someone a free mani or pedi kit to someone who’s in need of a good pick-me-up. So, if you know someone (could be a fellow Lil Swipe but it doesn’t have to be) who has been walking through a difficult time and needs an opportunity for some self-care, you can nominate them by sending me an email at hello@erinhmoon.com.
Okay, time for the final Tweets of 2021!

Friends, I am so seriously, earnestly, and deeply grateful to you for showing up here this year. I am lighting a candle for us that 2022 will JUST BE CHILL, mkay? Love you people, big things coming in 2022, gird your loins.
Loins are girded, Erin Moon. This is such a fun newsletter and so many giveaways and OMG I WANNA WIN THE KITCHEN MASTERCLASS SO BAD. Biggest kitchen struggle: being effective with my knife work and my time!! I feel like if a recipe says 30 minutes, it’ll take me double that. No idea why.
Friends, I feel like I am crawling to the metaphorical finish line of 2021. I am beaten and sorrowful and glad for it to be over but also very hesitant for what’s to come. I am VERY afraid to make any travel plans for 2022. I don’t know what’s worse - making all of the plans and then being severely saddened when they have to be cancelled again? Or not making any plans at all? …… how much longer can I live without making any plans for the future? I’m in a deep hole, right now, friends. It may be a while before I can dig out far enough to see any light.
I’ve given up on ever loving the kitchen or its tasks, so I’ll just share that my family (sisters) Christmas went fine with no one leaving early in a huff, only one sister yelling over everyone to be heard (Tylenol got passed around quickly!), and all of Mom’s stocking gifts were a hit. 🙌🏻 We played BINGO to “win” the gifts everyone brought and I got the consolation prizes (coasters and a mug that only the Hulk could hold), but Mom made off with a handheld car vacuum so, *balance*. Everyone agreed to do it again next year so… yay? 😂
The real winners were the littles (and my heart): grandnephew loved the little train engine I gave him and never set it down after it was opened—even holding it to nap!— and grandniece immediately put on her Rapunzel dress and sparkly purple shoes then twirled around the room the rest of the night asking me to take photos. 🥰
Right now I’m halfway through my 12 days Christmastide gift exchange with my longtime pen pal and it’s the greatest idea we’ve ever had. Very few physical gifts but all kinds of sharing: fave songs of the year, best tv, personal discoveries, fave apps… so many little things that just haven’t come up in our texts through the year. We live 1400 miles apart and can’t meet in person so these details don’t always get shared, but it’s been so much fun to learn all the “trivial” stuff of this year. I used Day 6 to share my fave newsletters and got to rave about you all! 😊 She *gets* online communities because that’s actually where we met 20 years ago! Guys, it was just the coolest thing to share my newest online group with my oldest one!
I’m delaying my New Year rituals until after Epiphany. I’ve enjoyed this Advent/Christmas season like no other in recent years, and this current season allows for a slow pace. Every day I’ve been reading with Mom from several seasonal devotional books and it’s been such a sweet time together. Exactly what we both needed at exactly the right time. That’s what I’ll remember most about these holidays.
