My church retreat this weekend was such a gift. Hearing raw testimonies and worshipping with everyone was beautiful.
Getting a new book in the mail!
Cold weather finally gets here tomorrow—hopefully here to stay—I’m very excited for fires and coziness and sweatshirts and Christmas.
There’s a treasure and a not treasure to this one: the not treasure? I have the flu. The treasure? I get to lay in my bed and do + eat whatever I want. Ice cream all the time? Check. Jersey Mike’s sub? Check. Multiple naps throughout the day? Check. Being able to indulge myself without feeling guilty? Check. Everyone in my fam feeling sorry for me and me being treated like a queen? Check.
My treasure this week is that my ablation did what it was supposed to. Had my first period and it was NOTHING like what I’ve been used to having. Praise Jesus.
📺 Watching Derry Girls S3 this past week. Just lovely! Plus the movie Rosaline on Hulu has had me in stitches this weekend. It’s my new replay go-to.
🍂A little extra time off on Friday which was much needed. I spent as much time outdoors in the early mornings for a run, or walk. - I’m not even a mom but if I were I’d be the kind in that IG carousel that wanted to be outside😂
📚 Started two new books that I’m enjoying. One of them is NF “My Body is Not a Prayer Request” by Amy Kenny. It is blowing my mind how she can put so many of my feelings & thoughts into organized words and chapters.
My treasure is my sister! I got sick this weekend and she’s been taking care of me all day - bringing me a steamer, tea, treats, making sure I’m taking meds. She is the most wonderful 🤍🤍
I’m a library student and the topic of book banning has been saturating my classes, really bringing down the mood honestly. This little story made me smile this week:
My treasure this week is this video of Stephanie J. Block justifying the HECK out of the beans in Into the Woods on Broadway ( https://www.tiktok.com/@themalesjb/video/7151858407065128238?_t=8WWn6dEpp8A&_r=1 ). I’ve watched the video probably 273 times. This show means so much to me and she’s one of my fave theatre artists and it just brings me a lil bit of joy every time I watch it. ALSO if you are a theatre fan and haven’t listened to the Into the Woods 2022 cast recording GO DO IT.
We live in Just outside of Houston and finally got rain (only a quick storm that moved thru at 5am 😂) but there is rain and cooler weather coming! I am very ready for long sleeves and fires!
The Astros are leading the series 2-0 thanks to big plays! Today is baseball day at our house, my boys play and then on to the Astros Game!
