We’re halfway through this month, and these are my feelings about it so far:

This week our ice cream supply is starting to run dangerously low and pretty much every church within a 10 mile radius is hosting Vacation Bible School. But more importantly, we’re also recognizing Father’s Day, Juneteenth and Pride Month. Lots of reasons to celebrate the people we love! 🍾The Denver Nuggets took home their first ever NBA Championship this past week, led by MVP Nikola Jokić from Serbia. I don’t know much about the guy except he is apparently good and also very pure - loves horses, just wanted to go home after the game, etc. I’m in support of both endeavors. But this video of of him not knowing what to do with champagne as the team celebrated took the cake for me!

🥕Any fun plans this weekend? I’m crossing my fingers for a low-key couple of days, hopefully accompanied by these crispy parmesan carrot sticks. I am trying to eat more vegetables, after all. Let me know if you have fun plans or snacks on the horizon!

🌉Lil Swipe Robin sent me this article about celebrating Juneteenth alongside our black brothers and sisters, especially if you’re in a predominately white congregation. Since Juneteenth is this coming up this Monday, give it a read if you need some practical ideas for learning and growing together.
