I have had a crazy last 9 days went from volleyball nationals in Florida for my daughter to Virgina for football with my son. These teens got us parentals feeling tired and kinda old.

I have had a crazy last 9 days went from volleyball nationals in Florida for my daughter to Virgina for football with my son. These teens got us parentals feeling tired and kinda old.
I survived my VBS week and in fact everything went great! Volunteers showed up when they said they would, the weather was hot but there was always a breeze, I didn't run out of any supplies or food - I'm so happy!
I'm also happy that it's over and I can afford to give time and energy to other things again.
Hi, friends! To be honest, this week has been a bit heavy. We are sweltering in the Midwest with drought conditions, and it is rough!
I do have a few treasures to share with you and I have been looking forward to seeing yours!
-This Instagram librarian @mychal3ts is a delight. I love everything books and libraries and his enthusiasm is contagious.
-Currently reading: The Book of Everlasting Things by Aanchal Malhotra. I have not finished it yet, but it is a treat for the senses. I am learning so much about the part of the world that the book is set in too!
-New pillows for my loveseat! Honestly, they are so comfy.
The warm bread and pool tweets are so me! We've been getting some much needed rain all week but I'm ready to be out by the pool once the sun comes out again.
Treasures:
I finally got my little bell pepper plants transitioned into their pots outside, and I'm excited for them to grow! I also got my first blossoms on my cucumber plants this week, so I'm looking forward to watching them grow soon!
I finished catching up on Vanderpump Rules this week and will probably never recover from the finale, which was arguably the greatest hour reality television has ever seen. Not so treasure:
Like many other people my entire personality changes during summer. One way that manifests is my shift from drinking regular water to what my 6-year-old niece calls "tasty water." AKA those little flavor enhancers to make your water - you guessed it - tasty. Only this week I accidentally picked a tasty water sweetened with stevia, and I am notttttt a friend to stevia.
I turned 30 on Wednesday, and I have felt so delighted and loved the whole week. Zach invited our friends over and rented a bounce house and a sno cone machine, and it was literally the most fun!
