🍽 Lil Treasures #194: Disneyland and Girl Dinner
We're talking trauma, Italian sammies and unusual dips
What’s up, party people! Welcome to Friday, I’m so glad we made it here.
I won’t keep you long this week, as I want each of us to enjoy the heck out of this holiday weekend. I’ll be celebrating Labor Day out west in Austin, TX for our first stop on the Popcast Live tour! I will hopefully be seeing some of you and also hopefully eating my weight in various versions of tacos.
Before we peruse the treasures, I did want to remind you that the dis/entangle study is starting so soon! You have one more week to sign up and be a part of this six week study happening over in The Swipe Up+, where we’ll be asking questions and pressing into some of those tender areas of our faith. For $12 total ($6 a month) you can get access to this study and walk through the content in the context of a safe and encouraging community. 🧶
If you’re already signed up but want to gift a subscription to a friend to come along for the ride, just click on the button below!
And my darlings, do not forget to reach out if you’d like to be included but the cost is not do-able at this time. We don’t want anyone to be excluded for that reason, especially on this last journey of the dis/entangle content in this space. Send me an email at hello@erinhmoon.com and Hannah and I will hook you up!
All aboard the treasure train 🚂
👩🏽🍳Before we begin, please know that the majority of this week’s treasures are focused on something I am very passionate about: food. My good friend Bri McKoy just released "The Cook's Book", a new cookbook for all levels of kitchen mastery! In the book, Bri dives into one of my favorite subjects (eggs) and focuses on important topics like snacks, sauces, and sides - the true cooking essentials in my opinion. I hope you get yourself a copy because this work of art will be a staple in your kitchen if you let it!
🍽 Ladies and gents, this is my favorite version of girl dinner.
💔It’s been week filled with tragedy as we attempt to grapple with more news of gun violence and lives lost as the result of shootings that happened across the country. I think Jen Hatmaker does a good job of summing up the mixture of heartbreak and rage so many of us feel.
📱One of my favorite activities is sharing in dinner with friends, especially when one of us gets a text like this.
🥪It’s hard to beat the glory contained in a good sandwich. This recipe for chopped Italian sandwiches made my mouth water and I shall be attempting to make these shortly.
A lil thread for your enjoyment:
And lastly, this week’s tweets!
Alrighty folks, that does it for another week of Lil Treasures! Hope to see some of your smiling faces in the Lone Star State this Saturday. Have a beautiful Labor Day weekend!
Have fun on the tour. And ma’am please don’t forget that I need you and Sarah Bessey to do a show soon 🫶🏾. And I’m glad you still them “tweets” and not “X’s” or whatever 😂
Hello, friends! I hope that you are all doing well.
My first treasure-health! The coughs and sniffles have left me for the time being.
-Vincenzo. I was skeptical about this Netflix k-drama series at first as it's more violent than I usually like, but the acting won me over in the end. Spot on 5 episodes in.
-The first day of Sharon McMahon's book club (why do I feel like it's the first day of school?).
-The garden is growing gloriously. Tomatoes, green beans, raspberries. I can't wait to try some new methods of freezing fresh food so we can have garden grown food for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
That's it for me! Have a wonderful, restful weekend!
