When I went into labor a week early, I woke up my husband at 2am to let him know it was time. He rolled over and looked at me and said, "Are you sure?" As is the case sometimes, the hospital sent us home because I wasn't close enough yet and he asked "Do I have time to go to the office?" Bless his heart.
I am hanging on by a thread today ๐ญ I was prepared for the darkness of winter, I was not prepared for the cold/snow/road safety anxiety and it has been a challenging week for my mental heath. More so because it's almost that time of the month and I have to work the weekend.
๐ When I'm stressed and struggling the first things that goes out the window is cooking which then just makes me grumpy. I did some grocery shopping and got very easy food to get myself through the next few days.
โค Some of the others at work are struggling which is helping me feel less alone.
๐งต I have a few days off next week and I have a couple of fun sewing projects planned. I'm hopeful it'll help lift my mood a bit.
That's all I've got this week. Have a great weekend friends!!
The poets' perspective on everything being terrible - a delight! I adore artists and how they find and create beauty to lift us up when things are so hard.
Just a quick share: last week I mentioned that I'd had my first therapy appointment in years and felt somewhat hopeful for the first time in months. The next day, I was running errands in the breezy 2 degree temps here in MN, but you guys, I was SO HAPPY. Everything seemed sunshiny, and I loved every man, woman, and child I encountered that morning, and it felt like the world had shifted on its axis to show me the glorious side of life again. So, so, so grateful for a bright morning after such a long time in the darkness. Committed to the work to keep going in this direction, even though I know I'll slide back sometimes. Big hugs and wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Good morning! Itโs been 73 degrees and storming in Alabama for the past 3 days and it has wrecked my sleep and mood, but I still have to attend a budget meeting this afternoon ๐ญ why canโt I go live in a Forest with the little bunnies and toads and mushrooms?
Well, I can attest that the โcroissantโ happens to me at least once a day at the bakery where I work in Chattanooga. It throws me off most days because Iโm a KY girl who has lived in TN for 30 years now and who is married to a man who was born in North Alabama but graduated from high school in North Mississippi. Needless to say: my accent is STRONG! We do have a handful of European customers who live and work nearby, and even they donโt say it like that. I just want to say, โYall! We are in the heart of Appalachia! Nobody says croissant like that. Especially you, David, who I know are from North Alabama because we have talked about how you know my husband is from there.โ

I'm sure the absolute mess of the current snow/slush/rain situation isn't helping. I hope you can take some baby steps towards a lighter heart!
That driving anxiety is so real. Hugs friend ๐

Am I the only one who is getting an expired link for the new masterclass?
Try this one! For some reason it keeps timing out, so sorry!

Be kind to yourself this weekend ๐
That is outstanding! I just sent it to my daughter who is obsessed with rain. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the laughs this morning.
