Is anyone else having issues with the links to Reels? I want to watch the cardinal video, but it just goes to my Reels and plays whatever is queued up next. (The first time it was an awful rap song with Roseanne - I thought Erin was playing a little trick on us all!)
Yes! So then when I click the link in the newsletter, instead of hitting open Instagram, I just hit the white x at top right and then it plays the intended reel. Maybe that will work for you too. Because it’s definitely a treat. :)

I used for work for Habitat for Humanity and our CEO met President Carter on several builds throughout her tenure. She said he was truly the epitome of a public servant and such a lovely human. I don’t know much about his presidency, but he sure set an example on how to BE as a leader.
A treasure for me this week is that I started listening to Annie F. Down’s Let’s Read the Gospels series and it’s been so spiritually nourishing. I’m Catholic and very rarely get to hear the Gospels read by women (only priests and deacons, both of which have to be men, can read them during Masses 🙄), and listening to a woman read a more contemporary translation than I’m used to is really filling up my soul and giving me some new perspectives on familiar stories. ❤️
Another treasure is that the sun is flippin’ shining in mid-Michigan today and the temp is supposed to rise above 30 for the first time in weeks. ☀️🙌
I'm a 1. I know it'll make the box unbalanced, but I don't care. It's either that or leave all the cracked empty shells in there for a full-sight balance. ;)
It's also nice to read this newsletter AFTER I read Sharon McMahon's The Preamble... because you know lately... the stories have been sad and infuriating. I need the emotional pick-me-up after.
I'm a 3, sometimes 4, on the eggs. My mother was adamant you couldn't put all the eggs on one side of the carton.
By body always wants to be cozy in bed, especially because I have a heated mattress pad. I have been telling all my coworkers about it, bc we are headed into the single digits on Monday. It is truly the best thing.

I’m also choice 3 on the egg carton chart and I don’t know about psychology, but I do know that I very intentionally do that to balance the weight, so when someone picks up the half-full carton, the eggs at the end don’t fall out. Obv bc this has happened. I’ve been reading more news lately, which just makes me sad and angry, and I was so relieved to realize it’s Friday and I could read Lil Treasures when I was done.
Usually a 1 for the eggs because the carton stays in the fridge, but if I have to take the carton out then 3
