π Lil Treasures #98: Wide Legged Pants and a Jazz Connoisseur
Also featuring: A Cheesy proposal and puppies in coats
HI GUYS. Itβs me, Erin. Iβm back from New England and properly changed by the magic of leaves and apple cider donuts and historical monuments. It was the best! This was me the whole time, absolutely geeking out over everything around me.
I was so lucky to be a part of Cheer Her On Weekend, and highly recommend you check out Melissa and what she is doing over on her podcast to celebrate women and create meaningful conversations. Iβve met some of the best people because of the internet and she is definitely one of them. Thanks, internet!
Ok, letβs do some treasures!
π§ Heather Thompson Day, author and host of Christianity Todayβs Viral Jesus podcast had me on as a guest recently and we had a grand time discussing everything from faith to Spanx. You can listen to the episode here!
π This article in Rolling Stone, featuring two queens of angst and female empowerment, Alanis Morissette and Olivia Rodrigo, is speaking to both young Erin and adult Erin simultaneously. Please oblige your inner teenage soul and give it a read!
π© PSA! The Your Unsoothed Heart is Your Most Powerful Weapon pennant banners are still up for grabs for one more week! Iβll be taking pre-orders until next Friday, October 22nd. Hang it in your home office, give it as a holiday gift, wear it as a kerchief around your neck. People way cooler than me created the design (Oxford Pennant) and Iβm excited to release them into the wild.
π Highly recommend sharing this poem about friendship with all your buds.
π Itβs a big week for book releases - so gird your literary loins and lets talk about a few Iβm excited about! The brilliant Dante Stewartβs first book, Shoutinβ In the Fire is officially out into the world and needs to be added to your shopping carts ASAP π₯ . Iβve been following Dante on social media for a while now, and his voice has been pivotal in pointing me in the right direction and exposing the gaps in my thinking when it comes to views on racism and white supremacy. Second up: everyoneβs favorite mom on the internet, Heather Macfadyen, also released her book Donβt Mom Alone today! Heather is the host of the Donβt Mom Alone podcast and is such a valuable advocate for helping shape a healthy motherhood culture. And last but not least, Kristen Strongβs devotional When Change Finds You looks so delightful! I know a lot of you were asking for recommendations on a daily devotional, and I think this one would be a great fit. Right now, you can get it for 30% off plus free shipping, which is a pretty amazing deal. Happy reading, friends! π€
πΆ Itβs starting to get cold outside, so hereβs an important reminder to stay warm:
π· And finally, if youβve never been to a jazz festival, not to worry - this expert is here to tell you all you need to know.

Have the best weekend, my friends! Your treasures give me life and I canβt wait to read them. And donβt forget - itβs never too late to come join us over on The Swipe Up+! We started the dis/entangle study earlier this week, but if you join now youβll still have access to all the study content and other fun perks. Hope to see you there!
Oh hey! It's Friday!
Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our 21st anniversary - our marriage is old enough to have a glass of wine, which it did. We have finally found our stride with anniversary celebrations; we went to the 4:30 showing of No Time to Die, then debated whether we should get dinner after or just go home and go to bed early. We split the difference - just got a couple appetizers, and we were tucked in doing our nightly crossword puzzle by 9:00. #oldpeoplelevelunlocked
Happy Friday βοΈ I hope that everyoneβs week was wonderful, and you have something youβre looking forward to this weekend.
Iβve been entrusted to care for my best friendβs 3 month old baby tomorrow while they venture to the city for a date night. Iβve been looking forward to it for weeks because baby snuggles are everything.
π΄ββ οΈ My treasure this week is two fold. I just finished Scenes of a Marriage, and it wrecked my soul in the best way. I really recommend it because the character development and production is top notch. Iβve also been jamming to John Mayerβs Sob Rock all week. Iβm seeing him in March and I just cannot wait.
Oh! Big personal news: we bought a house! Or, are currently in attorney review to buy one? π‘ Eek. Itβs my 1920βs dream project.
