🎄 The First Advent in Palestine Livestream
Don't forget to join us on Thursday (12/7) @ 7pm CT!
Hey friends!
I am so excited that
will be joining us this Thursday to discuss her excellent book, The First Advent in Palestine. I am almost finished reading and WHOA. This one is going to stick with me for a long time and I just cannot wait to sit with Kelley and have her process this with us. Also this is FREE for anyone, you don’t have to be a Lil Swipe, you don’t have to have a subscription, and you can forward this to anyone you know, they just have to register to get the link on Thursday morning in their inbox. One quote that is really staying with me as I read comes from an early chapter. I wrote it on a sticky note and have been using it as a bookmark.
If you’re reading along, I would love to know what is resonating with you.
And listen, if you meant to start reading, but it hasn’t happened, that is okay. We would still love for you to join us on Thursday! If nothing else, I think it will be a great moment to connect and hear from an expert about how we might be more attuned to a less commercialized version of the Advent story. Which, I’ll be real, I already need.
I’m asking anyone interested to please register here. I know it’s annoying to go through another hoop, but hopefully, this will give us a good idea of how many people plan on showing up and we can plan accordingly so our platform doesn’t poop out on us. You’ll receive a link on Thursday morning for the livestream and if it doesn’t show up, please check your spam. If you still don’t see anything by noon CT, holler at me (hello@erinhmoon.com) and Hannah or I will hook you up.
I’d love to go ahead and start gathering questions you have for Kelley about this book, about her work, about Advent, or even about Palestinian culture, past or present. I guess you can ask me questions as well, but it feels like if we have someone as amazing as Kelley, we want to focus on gleaning her wisdom? You can drop them in the comments below!
Again, all you have to do to join us:
Leave a question in the comments for Kelley or me, if you want.
Wait for Thursday morning for an email with the live stream link.
Come hang out with us this Thursday night at 7pm CT!
Can’t wait to see you all!
Erin
I love this book so much! I preached on the concept of hope on Sunday and really focused on the intertestamental period and what God's people were truly experiencing at that time and around the time of Jesus' birth. I had SO many people thank me for the context. So glad to be able to draw from this book among my resources.
I would love replay option too! Registering now - won’t be able to attend live.
