I love this book so much! I preached on the concept of hope on Sunday and really focused on the intertestamental period and what God's people were truly experiencing at that time and around the time of Jesus' birth. I had SO many people thank me for the context. So glad to be able to draw from this book among my resources.

I would love replay option too! Registering now - won’t be able to attend live.

I just finished the book. The first thing that struck me is the image of Mary’s and Joseph’s relatives all around them for Jesus’s birth. I want to add an Elizabeth to my crèche. But really, just getting a fuller, more accurate picture of what it was like on the ground, I appreciate that so much. Then of course there are the bigger themes of being a refugee; the concept of the meek in war; hope. I will try to formulate some questions, though I’m not optimistic I’ll be able to figure out how to join the live stream. Is this zoom? It hardly matters, I’ve only tried to do one “live” thing over the interwebs and it was a complete failure🫣

Is this the book you were talking about on threads last week?

Will this be available to watch later for those signed up? I’m trying so hard to be home for it live, but if it doesn’t work I’d of course love so much to be able to watch the next day. Thanks so much for doing this, I’ve really needed her book this year too.
