β€œI love your smile” by Shanice is one of my favorite throwbacks. Takes me right back to dancing in my friends bedroom when we would hear it on the radio! πŸ˜†

Okay! 3" of rain, a flooded basement, a vet appointment, and a sick cat later, thank God it is the weekend. I do have some treasures to share that I'll post links to below. Looking forward to catching up with you all in the comments!

Reading: Search by Michelle Huneven. This book is a delightful combination of Anne of Green Gables and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Trust me. It works. :)

Watching: Garden/nature reels on IG. Three of my favorites this week @foraged.by.fern @inthecottagegarden @marfskitchengarden

Listening: I have been meditating in the morning with the Calm app and the Saying Yes to Life meditation is lovely.

Making: I am onto the third and final square of the knitted IA State scarf/prayer shawl that I am making. I am also sewing my first quilt. The creativity keeps me sane. <3

Have the best weekend available to you everyone!

I cried multiple times for multiple emotions clicking through these links, so thanks for hacking my crying today (and making me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe at Kronk).

Music therapist here, and this whole thread makes me so happy! Not only will music from our formative years make you feel better now, but it can also provide great comfort and engagement for older adults, especially those with dementia.

This thread is great!

So, fun story: my brother is a DJ at a classic rock station and for my birthday, he asked me to put together my top 20 classic rock songs and he would do a countdown of them on his Saturday morning show. I had so much fun putting it together, I did my Top 20s for every decade I have been alive and then turned them into Spotify playlists so I can reminisce anytime. So, without further ado, my favorite 90s songs in no particular order: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/542FaRuaLDoyqcCEctOLBE?si=6qHBnjDvQSi2fdetAoTmJQ&pi=u-EZX4saRSTiSM

I also made β€œYouth Group Years” playlist; lots of SCC, PFR, Jars of Clay on that one.

I do not know what Irish Pop Princesses B*WITCHED put in β€œC’est La Vie”, but the overwhelming joy I feel when I listen to that is next level. Different vibe but same joy is Fall Out Boy Grand Theft Autumn πŸ˜‚

Good morning! It's been approximately *checks calendar* one hundred years since I have been in these lovely comments, but I had to pop in and see everyone's neurohappy music! The first that popped into my head is, yes, all the 90s country ladies: Shania, Trisha, Reba, Martina, The Chick's, DEANNA CARTER "Strawberry wine...seventeen...", and then some James Taylor, Cake, Counting Crows, Gin Blossoms, and The Carpenters (an outlier, to be sure, but my mom was a huge fan)

I really like the Easy 90s playlist on Spotify when I'm trying to boost my mood. Does anyone have a good 90s or 00s playlist they can share?

Last week I asked for prayers about an interview I had on Monday and I'm happy to report that it went very well! I was super proud of my performance. Still waiting to hear on the next step, so we'll see what happens.

Erin, you've got me wanting to plan a Euro trip with my mom! Maybe I can convince her.

Can't wait to catch up in the comments with all you Swipes! <3

Nostalgia music is the best! Mine is The Doobie Brothers, Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Rick Springfield, Bon Jovi, Counting Crows (from my early 20s, not teens), Belinda Carlisle, old Alabama, Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, James Taylor, and SCC or Larnelle Harris if I'm going way back.
