The sanctuary in the church lights reel is my sanctuary. I got married there. My babies were baptized there. It’s wild to see it featured in a not at all wrong viral reel. Also, I have moved seats in that sanctuary before because I was too close to one of the light fixtures.

Auntie Laning's Fiery Beaut! So needed the jello lamb tonight. There is something so therapeutic about laughing until tears are rolling down your face in a world that seems more terrifying every day. Going to practice the "pretending I came back from the dead" mΓͺme to try to see the wonder in it all.

Dr. Quirey's Valuable Traveler here to report I survived another study abroad trip, with nightly reminders like, "We're visiting Dachau tomorrow, so could you please cover up a little?" (I said it in a kind and gentle way and it almost worked; Gen Z's body confidence is a marvel.)

Erin, wisdom teeth extraction! Good heavens. Get lots of rest, use lots of ice, force small people to wait on you, do not use a straw and above all else, do not eat raw carrots. Wishing you a quick and easy recovery!

Hey there - it's Dr. Ring's Speckled Darling here. Erin - what a treasure trove of goodies you have blessed us with this week! Thank you for curating such a basket full of delights. This week has been challenging despite the holiday. I rode on a bus for 17 hours to go pick up my daughter's car that we'd left in her college town, only to discover she had forgotten to leave the keys for it! And she had a flat tire. So, had to take an extra day off work, wait for her to FedEx the key down, fix the tire, then drive 8 hours back home. We are nothing if not chaotic.

The next day, I learned that my favorite cousin passed away after a short but brutal battle with cancer. His family has been such a light and a gathering place for family and friends over the years; it's heartbreaking to see them lose their husband/dad/grandpa. He was so solid in his faith in Christ through the past few months. In her last journal entry, his wife posted that she was crying about how this confounded cancer had won, and Mark gently corrected her and said, "No - I have won; I'm going home." Grateful that he is being welcomed into Jesus' presence and free of pain, but wow, we will miss him back here. Hug your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you while we can. Love this community!

I have watched the baseball moms so many times! We’re heading into a 2 day tournament for my 13 year old this weekend. I wish they had walk up songs!

Hello from Auntie O’Brian’s Lemon Drop Time Traveller πŸ’—

Erin, these memes were spot on today and really cheered me up! Thank you so much for all the time you put into this every week! T’s and P’s for your wisdom teeth recovery. Three days after having my wisdom teeth removed my family took a trip to Lake Lanier in GA and my dad forced me to learn how to ski. It was Les Miz.

So for the past few months I’ve been asking y’all for lots of prayers for job interviews. After 5 rounds of interviews for 2 different jobs have been rejected for both opportunities. My heart feels tender, but those were the best interviews I’ve ever had in my whole life and I think y’all’s T’s and P’s really helped, so thank you. Trying to keep things in perspective and not get too down.

We are going to Boston next week! So excited to see all the historical things and eat all the seafood!

Please everyone have the loveliest of weekends! Can’t wait to catch up in the comments πŸ’—

Erin: I cannot emphasize this enough: do NOT use a straw for your milkshakes (or otherwise) for at least a week. Nobody told me this after my wisdom teeth got stolen from my face and I ended up w 3 dry sockets. Trust me: spoons are your only friend. Happy pain-med-induced-sleep to you.
