Happy Friday! It's been a week of absences all around here in the youth department- staff, subs, teen volunteers, you name it. We are all glad it's Friday...maybe not those that have to work the weekend. As a patron, I love that people want the library open 7 days a week. As a staff member, it's a lot of work!
🌷 I've never really been a plant girly, but now I have a yard with two flower beds and I have to do something. On the advice of a coworker, I'm committing to a flowering bush vibe and got my first two this week. She sold be with the reminder that I could have cut flowers for my home.
📚 Why are the best reads during the busiest times? I just read and loved Skin & Bones by Renee Watson, Women of Good Fortune by Sophie Wan, and The Guncle Abroad by Stephen Rowley
I really enjoyed it! Their dad is a getting remarried in Italy, so Patrick takes the kids on a European vacay to teach them about love and finding love after loss. I thought it was just as heartwarming and poignant as the first one.
