👞 Lil Treasures #97: Baja Blast and Driving Loafers
Also a reminder about The Swipe Up+ and some resources for anxiety!
Good morning, pals! Although I’m writing this on Wednesday, I can almost guarantee that when you read this, I’ll be frantically packing for a weekend trip to Massachusetts to see my friend-I’ve-never-met, Melissa, who is hosting a small group of women for Cheer Her On Weekend. We’re going to Orchard House AND seeing a ton of Great Awakening spots AND I’ve never been to New England in the fall, so this could not be anymore in my personal wheelhouse. It’s a very quick trip, but if you have some sort of New England must-sees/eats/drinks, I’m all ears!
Now for our beloved treasures:
🧶 Have you joined us over on the The Swipe Up+ yet? We’re already having some lovely conversations and for only $6 a month, you can come join the party 🎉. If you are confused about what I’m talking about and want the whole scoop about what all is included in The Swipe Up+ community, I wrote all about it here!
That being said, for all Lil Swipes+ members, it’s almost time for dis/entangle to begin! Dis/entangle is about disentangling your faith from culture and expectations, and coming back to the heart of why you believe what you believe. The study will begin this Monday, October 11th. One of the perks of being a paid subscriber is having access to any studies I release. The dis/entangle study will only be available in the Swipe Up+ community (the Advent and Lent studies will be available to purchase a la carte similar to years past, but this one is just available within the community for now!) If you want to be included in the study, jump on board and join The Swipe Up+ sometime before Monday to be a part!
Also, if you’re considering joining but the price tag is getting in the way, PLEASE do not let that be an obstacle. Seriously. I mean this. So if that’s you, simply send me an email at hello@erinhmoon.com and we will get it taken care of. And as a reminder, if you’d like to be one of those kind humans and gift a Swipe Up+ subscription to someone who might not be able to swing it financially, you can do so here!
🚩 LAST PIECE OF INFO I PROMISE! We designed these (pictured below) lovely banners for our dis/entangle beta group, and you guys seemed to love them so much that I decided to do a special pre-order! You can now order one of these pennants with the inscription “Your Unsoothed Heart is Your Most Powerful Weapon” here until October 22nd! All persons have access to ordering one of these bad boys, but Lil Swipes+ get a pretty little discount that will be sent to you later today. We loved working with Oxford Pennant to design these and hope they light up your living rooms! If you’re new and don’t know the origin of this phrase, click here to read about it!
🎧 The Bible Binge episodes are now dropping on Fridays! If you’ve never listened, they are some of my favorite things we do at work and this week’s episode is on Job. We get into it and it’s very fun. You can listen here or search whatever you use to listen to your pods.
🪑 This millennial recap is making me feel 1,000 years old.

👞 Okay so Jamie walked into the office the other day with the new Rothy’s driving loafers and I immediately started frothing at the mouth. I know Rothy’s are a little pricey, but she swears they are crazy comfy, every pair I have has lasted forever, and they look SO STINKIN’ cute. And can we talk about this cinnamon color? What do we think? Is it a yay or a nay?
🤔 For the parents out there, this post by Meredith Anne Miller on getting stumped by your kid’s random and/or difficult questions is a good one to save in your back pocket for later. And seriously, if you are a parent (specifically one with big faith questions) and don’t follow Meredith, I implore you to do this ASAP! She has been a helpful guiding light for me both as a parent and as a Christian.
🎶 I’ve followed Brandi Carlile’s music for years - and her new album In The Silent Days has been such a lovely addition to this week! It’s honest and beautiful and one song in particular (Stay Gentle) is so enchanting. I’m pretty sure it was written for children, but my post-2020 heart also feels very soothed by it. I hope you enjoy these lyrics, and that you find joy in the darkness this week:
Stay gentle, keep the eyes of a child
Don't harden your heart or your hands
Know to find joy in the darkness is wise
Okay, time for the Twitter hall of fame:
Fascinated and also deeply disturbed by this
Alright friends, I’m off to New England. Can't wait to hear about your treasures from the week!

I’m reading this late tonight before going to sleep, and the “precision of a baby goat” tweet has me about to fall on the floor laughing. I just see it’s little hooves trying to pick stuff up, and I can’t deal. 😂 **Also trying not to wake up my husband and 5 month old baby with my laughing makes me feel like a kid passing notes at Baptist Church all over again.
You guys you guys you guys you guys you guys!!!!
My Harmony test results came back and baby looks perfect! 🥰🥰 We also found out that Baby Slagle is a….
🎀 GIRL! 🎀
I am beyond ecstatic! 😭😭
